SPORTSPECTRUM RIVER CITIES TRIATHLON

USAT LICENSE: All competitors will be required to show their USAT license upon checking in to receive your race packet. If you neglected to bring your license, you will have to register again on site. USAT will give purchase refunds in the case of duplication. Competitors may purchase a $12.00 one-day license good only for this race or an 1-year membership for $45. Youth annual license (17 and under) $15.00 and one day is $10. You must provide your USAT# to complete registration. TRAINING: Triathlons can be extremely strenuous events. To be eligible to compete triathletes must be in excellent health and fully trained which requires extensive preparation in all three activities: swim, bike and run. In Louisiana you can expect the race temperatures to be in the high 80’s to mid 90’s with humidity approaching 90%. Triathletes are ultimately responsible for their own safety.

RACE DAY: The Sportspectrum River Cities Triathlon will be held rain or shine. Be prepared for all weather conditions. Please arrive at Cypress Lake Park by 7:00 a.m. Allow for at least a thirty minute drive from the race hotel. Volunteers will be at the registration area to put race numbers on the competitors. For the benefit of competitors a letter code identifying your age group will be placed on your left calf.

SWIM COURSE: The swim course is an out and back triangle, a distance of one half mile. All swimmers must keep the yellow marker buoys on their right going out and back. Do not cross the centerline or risk disqualification.

BIKE COURSE: The bike course is a circle loop around Cypress Lake, a distance of 18.2 miles. All competitors are required to wear a helmet, which meets ANSI standards. Chinstraps must be fastened at all times while on the bike.

BIKE RACKS: Competitors are assigned bike racks according to your race number. BIKES MUST BE PLACED IN THE RACKS AS YOU WERE ASSIGNED & AS YOU FINISH THE BIKE LEG OR DISQUALIFICATION WILL RESULT.

Applications are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE*

USAT number must be current to complete registration.

• Packet Pickup for RCT33 from 11 am – 5 pm
• Sportspectrum Race Expo & Sidewalk Sale 9:30 am – 6:30 pm
• Carbo Load Dinner 5:00-7:00pm

Sunday, August 4th

•  Gate opens for RiverCities Tri @ 6:00 am

• Race Start for RiverCities Tri @ 8:00 am
• Post Party begins @ 9:30 am
• Awards Ceremony (Cypress Lake Park) @ 11 am
